Get Paid To Click programs became very popular in 2007. A company with good reputation started one program, then a guy with a bad reputation copied the idea and added a second level, then hundreds of unknown guys and girls cloned the latter and started their own “businesses”.

In the past two years hundreds of those programs started and disappeared without paying their members, and some made some payments to get testimonials and recommendation on forums before disappearing with more unprocessed payout requests.

So the industry became one of the biggest scams in the work from home history. Those scams target unexperienced and, at the same time, lazy Internet users who are looking for a way to make an easy buck on line. Some of those scams had millions of members when they disappeared, and some are still running with more than a year delayed payments estimated in the 8-9 figure zone.

Those millions of people who have been scammed for their time and hopes of supplementing their income didn't know where to turn. Some reported each program to its payment processor (Paypal or Alert Pay) and had the programs account frozen, but that doesn't mean that the scammers didn't get away with a huge sum of the money they didn't work for.

Forums are full of complaints against those scams, and some websites are specialized in listing the scams. But still, the speed by which those programs emerge and disappear makes it hard to black-list all of the scams in a timely manner. It's almost always too late.
